The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) releases NDA eligibility along with the notification. In this notification, you will learn about certain parameters in terms of the NDA age limit, education qualification height, and physical eligibility.
The candidate must read the eligibility notification before they apply for the examination because they have to know whether they are eligible for the exam or not. the candidate might be canceled at any stage of the recruitment process if they fulfill the eligibility requirement.
This is some eligibility criteria information.
Age limit: The minimum age for all candidates is 21–32, but there is some relaxation for some categories as per the government. For example, ST candidates have relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years.
OBC candidates have relaxation up to a maximum of 3 years.
Education: The candidates must have a degree from any government-recognized university to be eligible to appear in the examination.
Attempts: There are different criteria according to the categories.
SC/ST can apply many times as they reach the age of 37.
OBCs can apply nine times.
General can apply only six times.
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen if he or she is applying for IAS (Indian Administrative Services), IFS (Indian Foreign Service), or IPS (Indian Police Service).
Apart from the above, people from Bhutan and Nepal can apply for other services.
